Gone flishing

real or photoshop?
Today in math class, we had to decide the name and symbol for our particular class, because the same teacher teaches a lot of different classes. Strangely enough, the final decision for the name was Flish (see The Future is Wild), and the winner for the symbol was a picture drawn by a student who had just been doodling, thinking he had no chance to win. (There was a contest.) A lot of people thought it was the worst drawing, but just to be funny voted for it. It was a few lines that formed the shape of a fish with wings drawn by Picasso (i'll try to get a picture soon).  I didn't really care, because I wasn't a big fan of my own picture either. I drew what looked like a mockingjay pin from the Hunger Games.

A new beginning

not exactly sure where this came from, or why our cat chose this fashion style.
School Summer is out! Time to go relax and have fun in the SUN classroom. We can go Splash Sit in the Water Desks, and we can Sleep in as late as we want  Get up early to go to school. Boy, it sounds so exciting, seventh grade, the most homework, and the strictest teachers (supposedly). It's good to be back. I've been waking up at 3 every morning, and falling asleep at 7 every night because of the jetlag from India, but at least I have free time before going to school. The start off regular life is coming up, where nothing special or exciting happens for a while, just school, homework, meals and sleep, except for the holidays that come every once in a while.

You can tell how psyched I am.

The final destination

We're back at The Claridges in Delhi, and we are ready to go home. This whole trip I've been craving sushi and nachos, but we can't find anywhere to get them. I haven't had milk in my cereal for days! (We can't drink cold milk because it might have bacteria in it  that could make us very sick.) We have to leave for the airport at 9 p.m. tomorrow and be on the plane by 12:00a.m. We were wondering where to go for dinner tonight. We knew that the restaurant in the hotel was rated number 163 out of all the restaurants in Delhi, so we looked at a map and found out that no restaurants were nearby, so I guess we'll stick to the expensive hotel food for one more night. Or maybe two, because don't leave until late tomorrow. Nice strategy, Claridges!

It was worth the trip

Well, here we are.
Sorry I missed the last few days -- I never got the time to write. But it's never too late to describe an elephant ride. It was a boring ride, like a car, except taller and open roofed. Not as exiting as they say it is. Yesterday It rained like crazy, so we only did half of what we were supposed to do. We noticed that when we got back to the hotel and told the driver we wanted to be picked up at seven for dinner, he seemed angry. The other night, me and mom watched the movie Gandhi along with 2012 which I saw on a movie channel. Gandhi was moving, 2012 was exciting, and I can't decide which I liked better.

Today, we went to the Taj Mahal, and the story of its creation would make a great romance movie. We can see it from our hotel room, and it is amazing. When people realized that pollution could ruin marble, they made sure only electric cars and bikes were allowed to be driven to there. The hotel we are staying in sells cokes for 175 rupees ($3.50), and the two hours of internet that we can get is $9.00. And they say New York is expensive!
